Retail Certificate IV

This course is for candidates that want to work in first line management level in the retail and/or wholesale industries. Youwill learn how to manage merchandise and store presentation, lead and manage people and provide a safe workingenvironment. You will be able to choose from a range of electives in management, inventory, merchandising and sales forexample.

Employees suited to this course

Employees are first line managers working in a small retail outlet or a section or department within a larger retail store. Theirduties may include inventory and stock control, employee relations, marketing and business management at the ‘shop frontlevel’. All training covers employability skills and develops competency. Course Delivery

This course is delivered on site at the workplace. Training and assessments are conducted by a qualified trainer who holdsgroup sessions and can also have one on one contact with participants. Learning strategies include a combination ofclassroom style training, on the job training, written activities, research and workplace projects. While assessments areconducted through direct observation, written and verbal questioning, role play and simulation, workplace projects andsupervisors reports. We recognise Certificates & Statements of Attainments issued by other RTO’s. The course timeframe isto be completed within 24months (full time).

Qualification

Once competency is achieved in all 10 units, the qualification of SIR40207 Certificate IV in Retail Management is awarded anda certificate and a statement of attainment are issued.
