Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) QLD

Tactical Training Group delivers a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training program that provides candidates with the underpinning knowledge and the understanding, required to act responsibly when dealing with alcohol and the general public in relation to their responsibilities, workplace duties, the law, customer service, and duty of care and harm minimisation.

WHO IS REQUIRED TO HAVE AN RSA
Any member of staff of the licensed premises who is involved in the service or supply of liquor at the premises.

Price: $55.00 per candidate (PRE-PAID)
Duration: 4-5 hours face-to-face with a qualified OLGR approved Trainer

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
• A sound understanding of English
• Must be at least 18 years of age

COURSE CONTENT
The RSA course is a competency based program covering:

• Identifying the context of Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Awareness of Drink-Driving and prevention
• Measuring the outcomes of Responsible Service of Alcohol on premises
• The Impact of Alcohol Misuse and Abuse
• Legislative framework for Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Implementing Responsible Service of Alcohol strategies
• The Liquor Act overview and the Liquor Industry Code of Practice
• Responsible promotion of liquor
• Intoxication – Indicators and Offences

COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.

This course is accredited under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and is approved by the QLD Office of liquor and Gaming Regulation as satisfying the RSA training provisions.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a QLD Office of liquor and Gaming Regulation “Responsible Service of Alcohol” Certificate enabling candidates to work in any QLD licensed venue.

**The RSA course certificate will expire three years from the date of issue**
