Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) NSW

Tactical Training Group delivers a Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) training program that provide candidates with the underpinning knowledge and the understanding, required to act responsibly when dealing with the gaming industry (pubs, clubs, casinos and venues promoting the use of gaming machines, table games, keno, TAB and all other gambling services. The aim of this course is to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding required to identify and assist problem gamblers, provide assistance to family and friends and assist with self exclusion procedures in order to minimize harm to the individual and community.

Duration: 6 hours face-to-face with a qualified OLGR approved RSA Trainer

Course Content:
The RCG course is a competency based program covering:

• Describe the context of gambling in NSW
• Explain the indicators and impact of problem gambling
• Outline and describes the legislative framework for responsible conduct of gambling
• Methods of implementing responsible conduct of gambling strategies
• Lists the benefits of implementing responsible conduct of gambling practices.

COURSE OUTCOMES

At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.

This course is accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and is approved by the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing as satisfying the RCG training provisions.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a Statement of Attainment in “SITHGAM006A Provide Responsible Service of Gaming” as part of SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality as well as the NSW Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority Responsible Conduct of Gaming Competency card.
