Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) QLD

 

Tactical Training Group delivers a Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) training program that provides candidates with the underpinning knowledge and the understanding, required to act responsibly when dealing with the gaming industry.

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding required to identify and assist problem gamblers, provide assistance to family and friends and assist with self exclusion procedures in order to minimize harm to the individual and community.

WHO IS REQUIRED TO HAVE AN RSG
You are required to hold an RSG if you perform any of the below duties:

• Supervise employees who are responsible for the conduct of gaming;
• Supervise the access to the internal parts of a gaming machine;
• Supervise money clearances;
• Issue keys for the security of gaming machines to employees;
• Supervise entries in accounting records;
• Arrange repairs to gaming equipment.

Price: $55.00 per candidate (PRE-PAID)
Duration: 4-5 hours face-to-face with a qualified OLGR approved Trainer

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
• A sound understanding of English
• Must be at least 18 years of age

COURSE CONTENT
The RSG course is a competency based program covering:

• Self and venue initiated exclusions;
• Strategies for assisting a problem gambler;
• Staff, management and venue responsibilties;
• QLD Responsible Gambling Code of Practice;
• Gaming Machine Act 1991 & Regulation 2002;
• Benefits & costs of gambling, and the different types.

COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.

This course is accredited under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and is approved by the QLD Office of liquor and Gaming Regulation as satisfying the RSG training provisions.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a QLD Office of liquor and Gaming Regulation “Responsible Service of Gambling” Certificate enabling candidates to work in any QLD gaming venue.

**The RSG course certificate will expire three years from the date of issue**
