Food Safety Supervisor (NSW)

Tactical Training Group delivers a Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) training program that provides candidates with the underpinning knowledge and the understanding, on how to recognise, prevent and alleviate the hazards associated with the handling of food.

New legislation introduced in NSW requires certain food businesses in the hospitality and retail food service sector to appoint at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) per venue.
These new requirements are to help safeguard NSW consumers from foodborne illness.

WHO IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR
Hospitality and retail food service businesses including the following:
• Pubs
• Registered Clubs
• Restaurants
• Cafe`s
• Takeaway shops
• Bakeries

Price: $170.00 per candidate (PRE-PAID)
Duration: 6 hours face-to-face with a NSW Food Authority approved Trainer

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
• A sound understanding of English

COURSE CONTENT
The course will cover two (2) nationally recognised units of competency from the Certificate II package in Hospitality.

They include:
SITXOHS002A Follow workplace hygiene procedures

SITXFSA001A Implement food safety procedures

COURSE OUTCOMES

At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.

This course is approved by the NSW Food Authority as satisfying the Food Safety Supervisor training provisions.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate issued on behalf of the NSW Food Authority.

**The FSS certificate will expire five years from the date of issue**
You must renew your FSS training prior to this time to keep your certificate current
